In keeping with Baden Powell’s philosophy of “Fun with a Purpose”, Troop 200 scouts had an amazing weekend. We backpacked 5+ miles through the Glacial Lakes Basin near Cisco Grove. We had a great session of “Backpacking Academy”. Scouts learned key back country skills like trail navigation, fire building, water purification, using a backpacking stove and hanging bear bags. We finished out the day gathered around a crackling campfire under clear, starry skies. Hope you can join us on the next one.
