The camp did not shy away from heat strokes and bloody noses – the young and old were treated the same with no discrimination by the hot temps. Every day, Troop 200 scouts were up by 5:30 AM to support the efforts of their fellow scouts to earn their way through the week for a last-day triumphant one-mile swim. All scouts supported the swimmers by being spotters and rowers, an unintended weeks’ worth of exemplary team-building effort.
