From The Phoenix Patrol Mentor’s Desk – Anthony T
One of Falcon patrol’s goals this semester was to do some patrol activities. Tristan
suggested a hike for the first one. The patrol met at the Springhill trailhead and hiked a
loop that included parts of the Springhill, Lafayette, Briones Crest, Sunrise, and
Buckeye Ranch Loop. Scouts practiced their navigation skills and identified a number of
local plants and animals along the way, including some friendly livestock.
