On a spectacular Saturday in early March, Troop 200 completed a
conservation project along the wetlands of Hayward Shoreline in partnership
with the East Bay Regional Parks. The intrepid scouts gathered multiple
trashbags full of garbage that had washed into the park after recent storms.
They gathered all sorts of trash including many single-use items, plenty of
plastic wrappers and tiny bits of styrofoam all throughout the wetland habitat.
